Yasmina Yusuf

Yasmina Yusuf (she/her) is a Teaching Assistant and Graduate Student Researcher. She supports Dr. Rebecca Shipe with the signature course of the UCLA Sustainable LA Grand Challenge, the Undergraduate Research Scholars Program (URSP).

She is a second-year graduate student in the Masters for Urban and Regional Planning at the Luskin School for Public Affairs, where she focuses on Transportation and Environmental Policy and Planning.  Her main research interest lies in strengthening links between policy and research in the transport sector in the Global South with a focus on accessibility and sustainable mobility. This builds on her over seven years of experience as an international development consultant working across Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Yasmina holds a previous Masters Degree from University College London in Social Development and a Bachelor’s degree in History from Humboldt University in Berlin.
