
On October 3, 2016, the U.S. Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz visited UCLA to tour two U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)-funded labs and discuss the DOE’s role in combating climate change and driving clean energy innovation and deployment. Mark Gold—UCLA Associate Vice Chancellor for Environment and Sustainability—accompanied Moniz on the tour, which included stops at UCLA Particle Beam Physics (Neptune) Lab in Boelter Hall and concluded with a talk at the Luskin Conference Center.
