Synopsis: Associated Press reports on how improving the quality of tap water in the United States is only step one to increasing usage — public trust of water systems must also be bolstered. 

UCLA News: González offers her insight into why many members of the public are distrustful of water systems and using the tap. “Defective plumbing that tinges water brown or creates an odd taste can also turn people away from the faucet. Immigrants from countries with unsafe water might transfer that distrust to water that might be safer in the U.S. and pass that uneasiness on to their children.”
