San Francisco is requiring solar panels on all new buildings. But here’s a much greener idea.

A UCLA report indicates that while the average person in the city of San Francisco emits just 6.7 metric tons of CO2 per year, the average Bay Area resident emits 14.6. Brad Plumer, a writer for Vox, wonders whether increasing housing density in San Francisco would further reduce CO2 emissions.
