In August 2018, Mary Leslie, president of the Los Angeles Business Council, joined the L.A. Sustainability Leadership Council. Leslie is a committed sustainability advocate prioritizing innovative policy in the fields of renewable energy development, clean tech, transportation, housing and more in her leadership at the Los Angeles Business Council.

The leadership council is co-chaired by Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and UCLA Chancellor Gene Block and includes sustainability leaders in business, universities, and the community.
