Synopsis: California is experiencing significant weather pattern shifts. According to Swain these unexpected rises in temperature will increase the risk of wildfires this season.

UCLA News: “In a substantial shift from recent pattern, it appears that CA will be persistently warmer than average for the rest of May,” Swain tweeted Tuesday morning. “In fact, a pretty significant heatwave is possible next week. Meantime, strong winds in North California will increase fire weather concerns.”
