Daniel Blumstein weighs in on transplanting endangered species

Synopsis: The New York Times reported on a study focused on the conservation of endangered owls. One approach to support endangered animals is the transplanting of species from one at-risk habitat to another more intact area.  

UCLA News: Blumstein comments on transplantation. “There’s been this assumption that if endangered animals are just moved elsewhere they are going to be fine, but that’s clearly not always true.”
