Juan Matute, a UCLA green urban-transit researcher, weighs in on Audi’s plans to equip new vehicles in Los Angeles with a traffic light information feature. The technology, which predicts the time remaining until a traffic signal turns green, represents a stepping stone toward connecting vehicles to infrastructure to create a safer, more efficient commute.
