Synopsis: Renters in Orange County are largely left out of the eco-home movement.
UCLA News: “I think that incentives are a way to reward the rich for doing the right thing and don’t do a whole lot for the poor,” Pincetl said. “Renters are largely left out of the eco-home movement, but solutions exist.” Pierce added that to date, “very wealthy homeowners” have received the vast majority of the public money used for things like removing turf, upgrading appliances and installing solar panels.
