Synopsis: Central California is confronting dirty water and drying wells, as the state is fighting an uphill battle due to climate change.
UCLA News: “Even with the progress we’re making, there are other losses that few people anticipated when it comes to heat impacts on water quality,” Pierce said. At the pace at which this is happening “people, and even larger systems, are at risk of running out of water entirely.”
