Daniel Swain comments on Southern California’s weird weather week

Synopsis: California recently had one of its weirdest weather weeks ever. A week that started with a record-smashing heat wave amid an unprecedented drought and ended with multiple explosive wildfires and the incoming threat of a hurricane. 

UCLA News: Swain wrote in his blog that in Southern California, the heat wave was also accompanied by unusual “Miami-like humidity.” As Swain said, this was “perhaps the singularly most unusual and extreme weather week in quite some time in California — and that is saying something.”
